Terms of Service

1. The service

Scorentra provides software tools intended to support adjudicated events, including event administration, judging workflows, scoring, feedback, and results-related functions. Features may change as the service develops. Pre-launch descriptions identify planned functionality and do not guarantee that every described feature will be available at launch.

2. Accounts and authorized use

You are responsible for the accuracy of information associated with your account and for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials. You may use Scorentra only for lawful purposes and only in connection with events or organizations you are authorized to administer, judge, participate in, or access.

You may not attempt to interfere with the service, gain unauthorized access, reverse engineer protected portions of the service except where law expressly permits, introduce malicious code, or use Scorentra to violate the rights of others.

3. Event and participant information

Organizations and event administrators are responsible for ensuring that they have the right to enter, upload, manage, and process participant, judge, event, and scoring information through Scorentra. This includes obtaining any notices or permissions required for information concerning minors or other participants.

Scorentra is not directed to children under 13 for independent account creation. Organizations using Scorentra remain responsible for complying with laws applicable to their collection and use of participant information.

4. Pricing and payment

Current prices will be displayed before purchase. The planned standard price for a single Scorentra event is $99 per event, with separate volume pricing potentially available for organizations operating multiple events. Pricing may change before or after public launch, but any applicable price will be shown before you complete a purchase.

Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, including Stripe. Scorentra does not directly store complete payment-card numbers. You authorize us and our payment processor to charge the payment method you provide for purchases you approve.

5. Refunds

Refund eligibility is governed by the Scorentra Refund Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

6. Availability and changes

We work to provide a reliable service, but Scorentra is provided on an "as available" basis. Scheduled maintenance, internet outages, third-party failures, security events, or circumstances outside our reasonable control may affect availability. We may modify, improve, suspend, or discontinue features as necessary.

7. Scoring and event responsibility

Scorentra is a tool for administering and recording information supplied by event organizers and judges. Event owners remain responsible for their judging rules, scoring methodology, eligibility rules, final awards, published results, and resolution of competition-specific disputes. We do not independently certify the fairness, accuracy, or validity of an organization's judging criteria or decisions.

8. Intellectual property

Scorentra, its software, branding, interface, documentation, and related materials are owned by Byrd Music Production LLC or its licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws. These Terms provide a limited right to use the service; they do not transfer ownership of Scorentra to you.

You retain rights you hold in event content and data you submit. You grant us the limited rights necessary to host, process, transmit, back up, and display that information for the purpose of providing and securing the service.

9. Termination

You may stop using Scorentra at any time. We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to address nonpayment, misuse, security risks, legal requirements, or material violations of these Terms. Where practical, we will provide notice before termination.

10. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Scorentra is provided without warranties beyond those that cannot legally be excluded. Byrd Music Production LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service. Nothing in these Terms limits rights or remedies that cannot legally be waived.

11. Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in the Scorentra Privacy Policy.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as Scorentra develops or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published. Continued use after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms where permitted by law.
